This question regards a replacement transmission I would like to buy that is advertised as a F22B1 replacement. I am hoping that it fits a F22B2 motor which is what I have. I am hoping that all F22B motors have the same transmission bell housing mounting holes and same body mounts that will bolt up with no problems. Based on my limited knowledge the F22B1 appears to be a 2.2L VTEC motor and the F22B2 is a non-VTEC 2.2L motor. Correct me if I am wrong on this. My car is a 1997 Honda Accord SE 4 cylinder 2.2L. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Yes, transmission will fit because they are the same, as well as the H22's transmission (except that H22 has smaller gears, but still bolts right up).
Transmission from the F22B1 will fit perfectly on the F22B2...

h/f series trannies are interchangable amongst models.
for the non-wagon models, the f22b1 (p2u5) and f22b2 (p2a5) trannies are separated by 4th gear, with the p2u5 having a 0.933 gear ratio while the p2a5 has a 0.903

My 97 Accord has a M2a5 trans, it's LSD, is that a swap or is that from factory? It has f22b2 in it.
