Default Gorilla vs. Muteki Lug Nuts

Hey guys, deciding on a tuner lug nut to put on some rota lips soon and have serached down to these 2 brands. I know about the Rays/Spoon ect but I don't want to spend that much. Even saw the Kyokugen, McGard and Zenkeis but still little too much.

SO basically, what do you guys use, like, recommend between the Gorilla and the Muteki. I heard the paint comes off on the Gorilla's? Also, can either of these be used with an Air Gun or no? I believe the Gorilla's cant, not sure about the Mutekis. Thanks guys

I've used Gorilla before, and wasn't happy. Once the chrome cracks, they get ugly. I've also used the imitations, and went with Muteki's after 3 months of use because they were shot.

I'm using the Muteki right now, and I'm happy with them.
2 sets of Mutekis on 2 different cars. A total of 4 months and at least a dozen tire changes, and no problems at all. Torqued to 88lbs all the time, and even the finish looks good.

get the Project Kics Racing Gear Lug nuts.. Those are Probably the best Lugnut .. There Pricey tho .. i think about 200 for a set .. they actually have a Rotating lower Piece on them so that you don't scratch up the wheel while tightening them up!

So does mcgard but for 100 bucks cheaper. The mcgard tuner lug kit has a spline drive system with one key on each wheel. The spline drive lug have a rotating lower piece so the wheels doesn't scratch. I am currently using it on my rotas and as we all know, rota paint scratch off fairly easy, it actually left an inprint on it while the "key" lug scratch the paint off. Mcgard.

I only torque my Muteki lugs to 75 ft/lbs. At least that's what it told me to do on the package.

Ive got the Gorilla Sparco nuts - had them on for about 6 months and had no problems, they're starting to rust but i dont care that much, they weren't expensive

As for them snapping, i had a McGard one shear in half but the Gorilla ones have been fine

my only complaint is that the keys will likely snap if u apply air to them. i snapped 1 of my 2 keys that way. the keys are made very cheap so beware.

muteki ftl, the lug key wall is so thin, it is easily broken (i know about this), i would rather go for gorillas, a few of my friends have them and i have never heard complaints, but you should save up and buy some work rs lug nuts, good finish, lightweight difference you can FEEL, and lug key is beefy, besides baller status :-)
