ok I bought a set of doors to change out my old doors on the crx i bought near the beginning of February. later on i bought doors for them because the old ones had been keyed really bad on one side the other just a couple of scratches. the driver side doors the weld completly cracked and the passenger side is keyed up really really bad and near the bottom of the door handle there is a huge gap and its rusted, I don't know how this happened but its really weird the it looks. but anyway. I took the old doors off and the fender, the driver side door took a LOOONNNGG time to take off. ok I got it off then I put the used door on and the pin that needed to go in took like 20 minutes to get it in. then the bolt for the hinges didn't match up so I took the pin out and bolt up the doors first and put the pin back in ok so it was going great until I looked at the connectors for the wire that connects the the door plug, I didn't match up, I was so pissed off that I wanted to break something, not only that the connectors were different. The door pillar than has 2 bolts looking thingy the plastic that its supposed to like hold it there, the door that i bought for the car was on but the doors that I just bought It doesn't have the 2 bolts that is supposed to hold on to and I was like WTF. It was dark when I was doing this with a friend of mine helping me. It was a bitch to do. My question is why did honda make the crx doors different? The one i bought it had no bolts. Did the 88-89 have the two bolts? What about the 90-91 crx doors did they have the two bolts or nothing. I'll try to post pics up so you guys know what i'm talking about.
Some pics and telling us what year car you have would help, I just read this twice and Im not understanding what you are saying about the two bolts on the door. Do you have door-mounted seatbelts?
I swapped doors from a 88' onto my 89' Si when I switched to b-pillar mounted seatbelts. I had to take the old plugs from my original doors and use those on the new doors, I just cut all the wires for the seatbelt stuff and left the wires for the speakers.
Give us alittle more information and calm down abit. I know its frustrating but it will get done. Good luck.

information that will help us help you-
year and trim of your car.
year and trim of the doors.
or
tell us where the seatbelts are mounted in your car , and if there are belts on the new door.
it sounds like you are putting 88 doors on a later car. get rid of the plastic thing inside the door jam on the car, and don't worry that your new door doesn't have the alignment/anchor bolts- it doesn't need them.
for the plugs, do as the above poster said and simply cut the wires and switch plugs that don't match.
mount the hinges loosely at first, line everything up, have someone hold the door in the right place, and torque things down.
now that you've done it a few times, getting the limiter arm and the pin to line up should be much easier.

I have a 1990 CRX HF that originally came with seatbelts that were anchored on the doors.
I swapped in 1988 CRX SI doors with NO SEATBELTS on the doors. Some mods had to be done, but otherwise its pretty much a bolt on affair.
You will need to remove the necessary anchors that get in the way, but will have to find a way to belt yourself in if you dont have seatbelts on the chassis.
I used the anchors that came with my Sparco harnesses to bolt right in to the hole provided at the lower sill under the carpet. One a roll cage goes in there will be more attachment points for multi-point harnesses also.
Hope these pictures help you out a bit.

i was always under the impression that 88-89 doors wouldnt fit on a 90-91 car and vice versa because they are supposedly a different shape? are you dispelling this myth? what mods did you have to do to fit the doors?
Look at Pictures 4 and 5. Look at what Im pointing at. Also look on the pillar where you see some TORX type fasteners. You need to remove that upper striker also.
Just look at Pics 4 and 5 closely.

The doors fit, I have done it as well before. You just have to remove the upper and lower strikers as mentioned.
The window is a bit bigger and the rear trim on the door is a bit smaller on the 88's but the dimentions of the door itself is the same as the 89 - 91's.

the doors are a slightly different shape. there is a bigger bulge on the back of the later doors.
88 doors fit on all 88-91 cars.
89-91 doors will NOT fit on an 88.

And by "bigger bulge" you mean where the seatbelt mechanism sits, right? Not the actual shape of the door when looking from the exterior of the vehicle.
Ive confirmed that you can intstall 88 doors in a 90 CRX, but has anyone tried removing the seatbelt mechanism on the newer, thicker doors and got it to work on a 88 chassis?
Is it just the door panel and seatbelts anchor that make the 90-91 doors thicker, or is the door itself thicker?
I should have looked at this more closely when I had both doors when I did the conversion.

no. the rear edge where it latches is a different shape, physically blocking the door from shutting all the way.
i had pics online, but my host is currently down.

Have you tryed the 89-91 doors on a 88 yourself? Or did you just read it somewhere? Because if not I will go out right now and pull my 89 door and try it on my 88 shell.

fire i up.
i don't have an 88 shell. i have swapped 88 doors onto a 91 car, and examined both doors. they are a different shape. if you find that they fit, i'll gladly spread the word.
