I have searched inside Honda-Tech but am unable to find any information on a 1997 Accord 2.2L Transmission replacement with a JDM transmission imported from Japan. I am capable of replacing the transmission. The question is: Will a replacement transmission imported from Japan (JDM) fit without any modifications? The JDM transmission I am thinking of buying is advertised to fit a 1994 - 1997 Honda Accord 2.2L. Is there anything I should be aware of if I do this swap? Will it fit? Gear ratios different? Will my original axle shafts fit? Are JDM transmissions different in any way? Any help would be much appreciated.
