I was wondering if anyone out there had this combo installed in there teg and if so are there any conflicts between the 2 Vtec controllers? I have a VAFC and plan on getting a hondata stage 2 for logging.

 

Why would you want to keep the VAFC? If you understand what Hondata does, you will realize that you do not need the VAFC anymore once you get Hondata. The Hondata uses the correct fuel and timing maps before and after VTEC, and you can set the VTEC point of your choice.

The VAFC by comparison does not use the correct map if you change the VTEC point. You have to do some fuel correction, and there is no way to change the timing. If you get a Hondata, the words of advice, lose the VAFC!

 

Don't use both together.

 

you would use your hondata as your ecu...no need for vafc...the hondata would be tuned to your car already..sell the vafc...unless you want it for show
