Your retarded for leaving it DPFI. Switch it to MPFI and use the D16A6 distributor and modify the mounts to fit the OBD1 engine.

You are probably running so lean on that engine by being dpfi that it's damaging it.

Also, if you think you have vtec now you are wrong. You will need to modify your harness to mpfi and for vtec. I suggest the switch to OBD1 and uding the D16Z6 ECU.

I can't beleive it even runs! He must of shopped the harness to get 4 injctors flowing unless only 2 are flowing. But then how would it even run! This guy blows my mind.

Just convert everything.

I did the swap in my 89 hatch and it NEVER ran right until I finally broke down and converted it to OBD 1. That way you dont have to put up the obd 0 dist so it fits, when you do that timing is a bitch to get on and stop it from leaking oil.

There are so many write ups on how to convert that it isnt that hard. Just shave down the drivers side mount so it dosent hit the timing belt and put the engine in. Its one of the easiest swaps someone can do and only takes a few hours.

Boomslang makes a great harness
Rywire does too
I've used both with no problems.

Because the stock motor was made to run off of DPFI!!! Your new motor is not!!!

I used a boomslang harness and the rywire dist. conversion harness.

Those guys are totally awesome and helped out so much. Hell they will even make your DPFI harness into a MPFI harness that way its a 100% P & P swap.

So all that was left was rung 4 wires to the O2 and 2 wires and ground one for the vtec sol.
