17x7 rims or 17x7.5 rims?
I'm looking into a set of 17" rims and I notice they come in 17x7 and 17x7.5. What is the difference and which one will fit my Integra?
And how about tires? I am thinking about 205/45/17 instead of 205/40/17 for a more comfortable ride.......

Go with the 17X7
You will only have a 205 tire. the 7.5 wheels will just be heiver and hurt you there will be no gain by having a wider wheel. It is the tire that hits the ground not the wheel.
I have 205/40/17 on 17X7. When I get new tires I want to get 215, that way the rubber will stick out a bit farther than tire so if I were to curb the wheel, it will just hit the tire and the wheel will be fine.
Getting the 45 intead of the 40 might change the overal diamiter of the tire/wheel and might through off your gearing.

I have 7.5" rims and I"ve never had a problem with 205 tires. If you get 7.5" rims, make sure you go with something like a 45mm offset. 40mm might be pushing it a bit, and you might rub.
