Default Please help with trouble codes

Whats up guys. I am new to the forum. I have an '03 Accord V6 with 53k on the clock. The car is still like new. All maintenance up to date. The engine light just came on. When scanned, it threw P2251 and P0134. The description on this site says that its A/F related. Are these codes for a bad O2 sensor?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

there are a list of OBD2 codes in the 6th gen FAQ, I am guessing that the 7th gen codes are pretty much the same....

P0134 = Rear A/F sensor (bank 1, sensor 1) Heater System Malfunction. O2 Sensor Heater. I will try to find out more.

Thanks BLKFLSH. Do these 2 codes mean the same thing? It would be nice if it were just an O2 sensor. If so, what would cause an O2 sensor to go out on such an efficient motor at 53k?

You will find this sensor on the rear bank down pipe for the exhaust. It is best to have the special tool to remove it. This code does not mean that the sensor is definitely the problem. It could be the wires, or anything else within that particular system. You would have to troubleshoot the system, to know for sure. I have a Helm manual. I would suggest you get one for yourself, if you want to work on your car yourself. You can get a cheaper manual at Autozone. If I'm going to work on my car myself, I need the best manual, (Helm) at Helminc.com. Not cheap though $110 (with the V6 supplement) more or less. If you save yourself one trip to the dealer with this book, you have paid for it. Good Luck. And Happy Hondaing

Yes, both codes are for O2 Sensor, "Heater" specifically. I would first try to reset the light, then see if it returns. It may have been an intermittent failure. I am not positive on which fuse needs to be pulled to clear the CEL, though. I haven't had to do it yet.
