Default 94 d16z6 tranny on 97 d16y7 motor?

is it a direct bolt on swap? i just picked up a z6 tranny and thinking of throwing it in my 97 dx hatch. is it worth the swap and how much of a difference will i feel?

definately worth it, 100% direct swap. you are going to a weaker tranny, but with the HP you got no need to worry.

yeah the aluminum shift forks are the only differance, doesnt really matter unless you are slamming gears like a mad man.
