i got an 89 civic si 1.6L d16a6, the upper ball joints are shot, inner and outer tie rods, and i could use a starter and alternator.

will those items off my friends 91 honda civic 4 door lx onto my 89 hatch si.....im askin bc id rather pull them off and transfer to mine instead of payin out the *** for the stuff i need....THANKS

oh and wat about the corner lens for the turn signals and perhaps the headlights?

 

the starter will fit aslong as it the same kind of trans (auto/manuel)
The alternator will fit

and the corner lights wont fit
the headlights itself should be the same but the brackets they bolt into are different

 

yes the steering stuff will work

the exterior sorry headlights will only work if u retain ur headlight bracket

the sedan bracket won't work, corners forget it

ok the rack will be different because of the power steering

i beleive the tie rods end are the same
but the tie rods them selves are different

the upper arm with the ball joint might be the same but i doubt it
beeing for door might make it different

just jack his up and yours up and take measure ments

 

yeah im gonna take measurements its just he's in my class and said hes parting his 91 out and i was like oh **** i might ****** a few things and he said it was cool so i was just wondering if those things would fit. this weekend im gonna look further into it and make a decision. THANKS
