Brakes
I have a 2004 Honda Accord EX 4-cyl with 33,300 miles. I just had it serviced for the 30,000 miles maitenence and they told me my back brakes were at 3mm and needed to be replaced. My front left brake had 7mm left. How common is it that the rear brakes wear out that much faster than the front.
Unless this is a new thing, the rear pads should wear much slower than the front.
All the stopping power is in the front. I suspect a problem. (sticking calipers maybe)

Are you hard on brakes? my first set of rear brakes were replaced at 91K on my '98 and at 130+K on my '94
edit: changed front to rear
On my '98 I find it odd that the fronts are still good for 15K more and my rears had to be replaced first........

check your calipers and make sure the piston is in all the way, if its not it can cause constant wear on the pads and use them faster. or the ebrake could have been on when you were driving
I see a lot of people out there using the two foot method. (one foot on the gas, and one on the brakes) I was behind one today. Her brake lights kept coming on, and she was still speeding up. This is bad for the brakes, and for gas mileage. If you see someone doing this, tell them to break the habit. No pun intended.
^^^lol, yeah that is quiet annoying, almost as annoying as when your following a car down a hill and they engine brake and slow down and you almost rearend them cause you didnt notice they slowed

that is really odd. with fwd cars, the brakes are setup to use the front as the stopping power. unless the car was tuned and changed that to the rear...it shouldnt do that.

there's no car that do brake "tuned" to the rear, if you have that, you'll spun out and skid your **** off any corner.
that is the reason why you need a proportion valve in the first place

On my 04 accord LX 4door. My brakes are real sensative every morning and when i barely apply pressure on my brake pedal, my car stops real fast. But after my car warms up and i use the brakes, i don't have that problem anymore.I have to park my car outside. Anybody else have that problem or have heard of anything like that ??

The only thing that I can think of is if you were driving with the e-brake on or if you have been trying to get your car sideways all the time by using the e-brake. Neither of those are good for the car.

Race cars are set up to be adjustable (nascar for sure) to help them with locking up the wheels and creating wheel hop. On passenger cars the ABS takes care of lockup situations.
