Default 1990 civic hatch...d15b2 specs plzzz

i searched but i kept getting different numbers...plz tell me peak hp and tq, along with any other numbers you have. an estimate on how much hp and tq i would get if i had an Si head from same model car on the engine, 4-2-1 headers, high flow intake manifold, new distributor and wiring + NGK plugs. im debating on how mu engine will be modded, its bone stock right now and i want to know how much bang i'll get for my buck...p.s. i realize this isnt a very good question, i just dont know where else to turn. thanks

92hp

look into an mpfi swap first of all i would say. or at least swap in a d16a6.

as far as what to expect, less than 100whp after mods, probably way less.

I was thinkin the same route you were but dont waste you money the money you spend on the head and the header you could go buy a si d16a6 thats what I did. and as for the head its exactly the same its the cam thats differant between the d15b2 and si d16a6. anything else just ask man. I thought about the same thing you did.

thanks guys... i was hoping for good news, but the truth is better than being let down afterwards lol. i already have the head, i got it form a guy who swapped it off his a6 and gave it to me. i do really want a full a6...should i keep the head and buy an si bottom end? and if i do get a full si swap, i dont have to worry about all the headaches that come with a mpfi installation correct?

dpfi is the main thing holding back performace. swap to mpfi.

you can find a a6 or z6 bottom end too, and it will work. i would never pay more than 3-400 bucks for a good running a6. prices may vary by region.

you should look into the d15b. almost 130 hp for around 200 bucks. best bang for the buck imo. bolts right in just have to do some wiring and change to obd1. mostly time not money
