Default Honda B-Series Mid Plates

Finally got the mid plate finished for the B-Series......

Here is some pics of the Midplate/Solid Dowels/VTEC Block Off plate

For the Mid plate to work the Trans case must be milled .250" and the dowel holes drilled an additional .250" deep. The rear of the Midplate will rest closely in the rear on the Steering Rack Cross Member of an EG and EK and the front half can be mounted to a traction bar setup if the cross tube was actually built with a thick enough tubing. So the MidPlate can be used in a Streetcar application and Racecar. It also gives alot more room for mounting other performance items. The benefit to using a system like this is going to be no stress on the trans case at all and a super strong solid front to rear mount. Without any front to rear movement means that the G-Force shifters benefit can be used 100%.

Here is a PIC of our mock up factory case that has been cut. Or it can be used with the Liberty Bellhousing also....

Very simple yet effective setup like the big V8 guys have been using for years. Glad someone put it to use on a Honda

Looks bad *** Howard. Who would you take the tranny case to to have it milled down?

It should eliminate any movement in your motor. Also gives you two more places to mount your motor solid to to help eliminate movement.

We had the design from 2 yrs ago, but never finished it. We also have it to adapt the GM Auto. We can provide the entire service to the trans. There are alot more things to come though! This is a waterjetted piece....the milled version is trussed. We are taking 1/2" and cutting it down to .250" where the engine and trans meets and leaving it 1/2" around the perimeter and trussed in places for serious overkill! and the billet look......just for fun on my new CNC mill!

Actually the Suby Intake will be a race version first.....If you need to ask why then watch for a Blue Suby in the T4 class this year about MidYear.....
