Im trying to wire up a faze tach on my 92 civic ex 2 dr, can anyone help? ive heard you wire it off the distributor but im not shure

 

does your car already have a tach? yes. Does honda have a reputation for bad tachs? no. Why fix something that isnt broken?

 

u don't have to jump all over him about it just because he wants an aftermarket tach....

It's mostly cosmetics, to make it look good..

As for the post, it has to be connecting the coil, not sure which wire it is, I'm not good with stuff like that, that's all I can say for that, I was just annoyed that he umped all over you for installing an aftermarket tach...like there aren't MILLIONS of them on civics with perfectly working tachs in the US AND Japan

 

Your tach signal wire can come from the all BLUE wire behind your gauge cluster.

 

will the "blue wire" still be there if your car doesn't have a tach (like there's no OEM tach in the cluster)

and

what do you do, splice it into the middle (create a 3-way junction area?, or jsut the two? (one from ignition to one from aftermarket tach)

 

i have a x modole with no tach, just got an si cluster and plug in play (94 civic) and the wire is there, (blue)
