The first thing you should do is break the car in properly, before putting on any "performance upgrades." Meanwhile, read some tech articles (search) and decide for yourself if you want N/A or FI.

You know they made it RED, but I still don't think that helps.

Congrates on the purchase I just purchased a 06 NBP type -s myself HOw much did you get it for if you dont mind me asking and what color did you get?

As far as performance goes, I would say get an intake (after the car is broke in) Injen has some good numbers from their CAI. My first mods are going to be coilovers (Tein) and then basic bolt ons.... I would say try CulbRSX.com for info... Everything is there...

Yea good choice... I got the black as well... I paid $22,800, basically 23k/// My payment are $400 but I added gap insurance and clear armor which basically assures that I wont get any swirl marks and I wont have to wax it ever... its pretty cool and it has a 5 year warranty... What sucks is my car is still on a boat coming from JAPAN!!!!! It wont be here till next weekend!

IMHO the best bet would be to go with the Injen CAI. The AEM V2 makes no difference compared to the stock air box on the dyno.

Words of caution... the Injen CAI will require some modifications as far as installing. The V2 is much less of a hassle as far as installation.

About lowering it... I like the stock height. But it really comes to down to what you are trying to do? Are you planning on running it? Daily driver?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Congrats on the purchase. I got mine for 24k as well. My payments are a little higher due to poor credit score but I am not complaining! Mine is silver!
Still breaking her in!

First thing I got is an Injen CAI and the hassle factor is a bit up there with clearance and fitment, but I eventually "made it work" (it jus didnt fit as well as my last Injen did). Definately a good mod!

Then I did an Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket (IMG) and that did a 'smidge'.

Then I did a catback, and it is hardly worth it. Definately getting rid of it and buying a race header. The stock 2006 type-s exhaust sounds and flows well enough.

Rich

Have fun with it!

you got yours for $22800 out the door? best i did was $22300 before all the tax and stuff. i got an email from another dealer saying they'll do $21990 but they said come in and if they don't have it they'll work something out. the last 2 dealer that said that wanted more after i came in cause they said the color i want is hard to get haha. so i went with the $22300 cause they had the one i wanted and gaved me a stock #.

4.9% - POPS HAS REALLY GOOD CREDIT! HAHA And oh yea 22,800 was what I paid before tax.... It was basically $500 over invoice... If I would have gotten something on the lot (Silver) I might have got it maybe a lil cheaper... BUT I WANTED NBP!! There were no dealerships in Northern California that had one! The days are going by so slow waiting!!
