Default TEIN RAs on a EK vs. Flex

Does anyone have any experience with the Tein RAs.

The car has a CTR 26mm front sway and 32mmx2.5mm ASR rear sway setup.

I was looking into the Tein Flex but I have read the springs are a bit soft or the dampening wasn't that great.

The RAs offer stiffer spring rates than the Flex (F:14kgvs9, R:10kgvs5)and also have the 16 way adjustability. The RAs can also be adjusted lower than the Flex.

Don't have experience on the RA's but had Flex on my autox/street 96 EK hatch.

My setup was this: SI 26mm front bar, comptech 22mm rear bar on stiffest setting, Tein Flex, 6-pt cage, front @12 clicks hard, rear 12 clicks street, race @16 full clicks hard.
My opinions on the Flex,
Street= Excellent handling A+++

AutoX= Excellent handling B+ but needed to run full 16 clicks hard in the rear. Wish rear spring rates were higher. But still a very good setup for street/weekend racing. I drive 1 hour to my autoX events so this setup/spring rates were good for me. I can't Imagine driving 1hour on Tein RA's front 783lbs and rear 559lbs springs rates with a full cage.

If you do go with the RA's let me know how they are. I'm thinking about RA's or RE's for my weekend only integra.

Oh, and you have a 32mm rear sway bar? How does that handle? That's just crazy...
22mm rear is good enough for a EK hatch.

depends on what tires you run, I personally don't have experience w/ the RAs, but from what I read they seem geared more towards off street use, so I would think they would probably overpower most street tires... leaving you w/ extra uncomfortable ride w/ no increase in ahndling. Also, getting the stiffest springs/shocks isn't always the best, especially if you drive on the street, one small bump can upset the balance of the car, say, if you were doing a spirited drive.

Yes, the RA has recently been discontinued. We will be releaseing another kit in probably late summer of this year, which will be the Mono FLEX. The concept is similar to the RA/RE/RS in feel and performance. Features of the Mono FLEX are mono-tube internal design, full length adjustment, EDFC compatibility, pillowball upper mounts, etc... It will be exactly what your looking for. The Mono FLEX is most similar to the old RE, which was one step above the RA because of the full length adjustment. Pricing has yet to be determined but the target price will only be a few hundred more than the FLEX.

Have you considered Koni 2812 or 3011/3012 with custom ERS or Hypercoil springs?

3011 runs about $2200 (steel body), w/springs
3012 runs about $2500 (alum body), w/springs
2812 runs about $2850 (made to order, custom valved based on app and spring rates), w/springs

all of these are double adjustable; they have seperate adjustments for rebound and compression. Many consider the 2812 to be right up there with Moton, at a considerably less cost; i believe the least expensive double adj motons run about $4500.

For starters, if you want your car to handle well, you need to remove that front swaybar or get a smaller front swaybar. The 26mm front swaybar must be making your car plow like a pig.
