Hey, whats up everyone...im new to Honda-Tech and im only 14 (probably youngest), but i already have an EK. Some of you may know my older brother, he has the 97' Turbo'd Accord (rhdune16)

im gonna buy the 5-lug conversion and 15 inch ATS complites in about a day or two

what do you guys think i should do next...i want to make a CTR out of it w/ RHD conversion and all..

Like everyone says, it's your ride do what you please. personally i would go with the rhd conversion too. youngster and allready gotta ride. not bad at all. Props lil man!

 

i dont see the point in rhd conversions. you might as well spend your money on your engine or suspension dude. my .02

 

why do a five lug conversion? IMO its gonna make theives think you have mass sheet done to it and steal it from just the 5-lug conver. i would keep the 4 lug and get some zeil coilovers and some nice volk or rota rims..then you will be set..for a lil while tell you want to go fast..then the b20vtec swap comes in!!

 

Im getting the 5 lug and wheels as a package for an extremely low price. I probably wont find a deal like this again so thats why im getting the 5lug.

I dont want the d16 motor or w/e it is..so i'll probably swap it for a b16a or a b18c...too much i know..but i'll do it soon hopefully

The RHD probably wont happen unless i find a great deal for the whole front clip...

Honestly... it bores me that all you want to do is make a CTR. The idea has been so beaten to death that it doesn't really interest me... especially the whole idea of RHD. After a few months (maybe even weeks), the novelty of a RHD car will wear off and you'll be stuck with it. I'm not trying to hate on your ideas but maybe you should try and be more original. I mean by the time you can actually drive the car, the whole CTR/JDM trend is probably going to be out. I think the 5-lug conversion is a cool idea but in terms of the whole car... do something that hasn't been done before. You have a couple of years so think hard. Brainstorm.

 

Eh, 5 lug is one of those things that I wouldn't do unless I got a great deal, but since you are, go for it.

Rota works for me... you get the same look for half the price, and when it gets stolen, you can shrug it off. IMHO, a slightly lighter rim isn't worth double the money.

exactly what my mom says...its all good

i probably wont end up doing the CTR look because its too much $$$ but i do want a new engine even if i dont do anything else

obviously you cant legally drive and i knew some guy at 14 he had a crx with a b16a swap and i gotta admit i was jealous because i was 14 at the time too...just search and do something youd enjoy...IMO if i had a EK id do a gsr swap and boost if i had the money to go along with it

 

lets see..
1. dump money into it while your young ..
2. save money for when you get older (but what 14 yr old saves money, i know there are some but still..)
3. its hard to be different .. just face it .. (but dont buy a saturn and say its different.. ehh gay)
4. whats your income? if you dont mind me asking
5. dont wreck it w/o a license .. dont even drive it.. .. itd be dumb

dood im 16 and i have my car but i dont have my license. i get it in a week but ive had the car for a month and its like torture. but ur still young and u need to get used to driving still.i mean getting a car when ur 15 is like enough but 14 ur going to get pulled over and be fuked untill ur 18. trust me i know how hard it is wanting to drive and not being able to it sucks. just keep saving ur money and near ur 16th birday. see what u want, ur still goin to mature. and if u do something now u may not like it in the future. trust me i said that i wouldnt change either and u know what i did alot. so just keep saving and see what u like in the future.
p.s are u alowed to drive at tracks??? if u are i would go and do that

 

Do a nice engine and suspension combo.

Hell you want something classy? Either a B18, H22 or the mighty K20 (expletive it, k24 that ****). and get some nice coilovers and the 5 lug conversion. Get some USDM ITR seats to replace the nast 6th gen seats. A nice radio, no subs, then some window tints and an alarm. expletive the rest.

I say you learn how to drive first.

 

work on it yourself and learn, that's the only way a 14 year old kid would gain my respect.

 

your 14. you cant even get a license. that should be your first priority.

IMO, a nice suspension set up with a b18 and call it a day. put the rest of the money away.

Bigger brakes for those who are serious about tracking their car, nothing but alot more weight for everyone else

 

i think 5 lug is a waste of money
