my boys 99 accord cranks up but doesnt start the mechanic check it bought a new coil for the distributor but the mechanic said theres no sparks going to the engine?
what could it be?

what you do you mean cranks but does not turn?


Check the T-belt and see if it is busted.

 

Did your mechanic check all the fuses?It could just be the ecu fuse under in the engine bay.
You should take the car somewhere else.If the Mechanic can't figure something like this out then I would wonder about his competence.

I think he means, it cranks but doesn't turn over because it isn't getting any spark.
