Default CBR600RR with 15k miles

Hey guys,
I actually have 15k mile on my 2003 600RR and I was wondering what you guys thought about the valve adjustment/ inspection at the 16k mark? Do you guys think it is a waiste of money and not to worry about it too much and keep riding, or do you think that I should do it. It is not the money so much, but I just dont trust the dealerships, and I think doing it myself is a little out of my hands. Do you guys think that everything will still be in spec, or get it checked out?
Thanks.

Not sure what the intervals are on that bike, but you can get some what of a general idea on looseness of the valve train by using a stethoscope to listen to the top end. if that don't work for ya, use a screw driver and place the metal end on each cylinder bank ex/in... stick the handle end against your ear, and give a listen for rattling or a general loose sound. this is NOT to be confused with a real inspection

Find a mechanic you trust. If you don't know of one, ask around. Most motorcyclists are more than happy to point out which ones to avoid.

Or...

Get a service manual and do it yourself.

For the most part, valve adjustments are infrequent on Honda bikes. You should be fine if you wait a little bit, but you'll want to take a look eventually.
