my Tig cart for ThermalArc 185tsw : first Tig project.
just got a thermal arc 185tsw and just got done finishing my first project with it. all square tubing is 1x1"
first, i design it...

then execute it...
check out that ghetto work bench.

and a bonus pic of my new gas saver lens kit that i bought from HTP

the bottom shelf has a space allowance of 14W/15L/16H. for a future water cooler upgrade.
details behind the design;
low as possible: for stability, and easy loading of the cylinder tank
rear wheels wide has possible: also for stability
cylinder tank possition in front of the rear wheels
shelf slanted: comfterable angle to access the controls
and ease of construction, with common materials, in this case 1" square tubing.
so, what do you psycho h-t'ers think. this is also a repost from the Hobart forum.

it makes it much easier to see the puddle in tight corners and head snapping angles. also straight cup is more smoother on the argon, allowing you to stick the tunsten further in draft free areas.
i want that torch BAAAD. where did you say you got it at? I was looking at the big cups 1 1/6" and they were on the order of 50 bucks. lmk...i'm nuttin on those pics.
i bought it from http://www.htpweld.com
it fits popular torches, 17, 18, 26, 9, 20 series
it has standard versoin and short version.
its not on there website, but if you request a catalog, it shows price and everything. i ordered just the gas saver kit for a 17 series air cooled torch kit. you can also order parts individually.
comes with size: .04, 1/16, 3/32. and 1/8 tungsten adaptor and wedge collets
a pyrex cup and heat shield

Great cart, great welder. Those Thermal Arc units are the best. I love them.
All you need is a plasma cutter and you'll be golden (my next buy also).

How stable is the tank?</TD></TR></TABLE>
the tank is vary stable with the strap im using. (forgot what its called)
it actualy sqeezes the tank against the rack and welder shelf.

yeh its for a water cooler upgrade in the future,
yeh i have a planned for it a over head cable hanger, so my cables dont get draged on the ground and the cable suspends from above to reduce welding fatigue.
still designing a place to put the pedal and filler rod.

That overhead cable hanger is a GREAT idea. attach a power strip and an extension cable reel to the cart while your at it for the water pump, a grinder, and whatever else to have some power, and you'll just be rediculous.
wetodddid was down. so i tossed it on my site.
and since people are still viewing this. here is an update on designs.
overhead cable hanger and water cooler.
note: the water cooler is model based on the dimensions of the arc-zone tig-er model. and no i dont have it yet.
