Default Weird Smell when i kick it?

so i finished a mini me in my 91 crx si about a month ago and it ran fine. my a6 would have the smell of oil when i kicked it but it was "normal". now with the vtec head on it smells like an electrical burning smell coming from my engine bay when i floor it. i had fog lights and thought it was that so i took it off but wasnt that. so what do you think is the problem? thanks in advance

If this helps, it could be your alternator. My friend had a dying one in his 96' hatch and it would keep taking out his main relay while driving. It would also hum under his dash when the key was in the start position. He changed them alternatorz and it fixed itself.
