Default Lowering a CRX

Hey, I have an 88' crx. Ive gone through H&R Sport springs and now have H&R Race springs. It is still not that low...the bump stops are cut too. Who makes the lowest drop coilovers/springs? I dont want to cut the springs either. Thanks for the help!

in order to go lower than drop springs you need to get coil-overs. i don't think anyone makes lowering springs that go lower than the race springs for a particular car. look into coil-overs if you want to go lower.

If you want to go lower get coilovers but remember that in most cases when you go really low you are going to have a shitty ride, unless you put alot of money into the suspension ie. full coilover setup. I have OBX coilovers cranked all the way down because I got them for cheap. It's looks awesome but it's probably the shittiest ride I have experienced.

go with coilovers if you want a good drop...by good i mean low...but remember if you go too low you will need a good set of struts(tokkico blues..*cheap*) i hjave coilovers and tokkicos on my 89 hatch and it rides pretty good....it will ride SUPER SHIITY on stock struts lower all the way,not to metion blow them out really fast..

Thanks for the info! When i changed to race springs, i was planning to buy coilovers, but the local shop told me the race springs go as low as coilovers. Oh well, i'll give c'overs a try. Im using tokicos...

Im between Skunk2's and Ground Control, what would you guys prefer??

well considering you had H&R springs before, if you are pleased with H&R they do make a full coilover set up for the crx. The "normal" version has springs that drop the front 1.5-2.0 inches and the rear 3.0inches and the race setup drops it 3.0 all around, then you still have the added drop from adjusting the spring seats. I have the normal set and if i set the perches at full drop it is easily more than a 3 inch drop. I think it will all come down to how much you are willing to pay. The tire rack sells them at a lower price than options auto(just saying).

Sprint makes a series of drop springs called "Extreme RX" or something like that. they drop the car lower than coilovers, 3.25". don't know how they ride though. they're pretty cheap too, they're in NOPI's online catalog.

I would definitely go with Ground Controls considering Skunk2s are stiff as a rock from my previous experience.

can i drop my crx 90si just 1" with tokico blues without having the "shitty ride" effect????, right now i just have stock, but just am curious to what that would do, (once i have more cash), cause i would rather not drop it at all, if it affects the harshness of the ride.
