Default How durable are FLIK wheels?

http://www.edgeracing.com/wheels/flik/

Well, I got to thinking. I've seen so many negative posts and reviews on the durability of ROTA's lineup, so I was curious on FLIK products. I plan on making a track car, so it's got to have some strength to it. I don't want to hit a tight bend and lose traction all together, thanks to a faulty wheel.

Thanks for any info. in advance.

Maybe I'll just test them out for H-T.

those wheels are dirt cheap, a lot of high end tires cost more than those wheels, if you use them for track i wouldn't worry much about them breaking, but then i dunno if they would hold up to hitting a crack in the course at 60 mph at an angle. maybe someone can do an FEA test on the wheels

I never heard of them either, but for the $$, that's an amazing deal. 16" rims @ 14.5lbs each - $99. I was like SHAZZAM!

Honestly, I just wanted something better than my 22lb 17" rims that ride like poo.

I heard that the slipstream replicas are made by the same company that manufactuers Rota wheels. I wouldn't be suprised if Flik wheels came out of the same factories that make the majority of the generic cast wheels we see in the vendors section. They probably have the same quality as Rota.

I had a set of Fliks back in the day, they took a beating, and never screamed once... Imo they are great wheels. I wouldn't worry at all to track them.
