Wich motor Should I swap Need some help!!!!

Default Wich motor Should I swap Need some help!!!!

I have a 92 cx hatch and i wanna throw the b16a7 motor the 92-93 gsr motor xsi but The thing is its a cabel tranny and i have hydraulic. I want this motor its 1700. and the other motor is a b16 sir II motor 92-95 and it comes with the hydraulic tranny but its 2250!!! what should i do

save for the sir II motor or get the other one and convert everything?

why would you get a hydro LS tranny for a B17. its better to run shorter gearing tranny for vtec unless you boosting or something

ya for sure that guy is dumb i wouldnt want a long ratio gearing its a b16... and i am going to save for that motor

Save. or a save a little longer and get the b16b (type-R). Depends on what your gonna do later on. Make more power? B18c1 You wanna drop it and leave it be? get a type-r.

It does all depend on what you want to do in the long run. I'm not puttin b16s down because they have alot of potential. but I personally have a gsr in my hatch and i think it's a better platform to work with. with the amount of money that you put into the b16 to make it keep up with anything, you could put it into a gsr and make it just that much quicker. Even in completely stock trim, a gsr in your hatch would walk on h22's all day. a b16 on the other hand...well. you might get walked on. Like I said, it all comes down to personal preference, what your wanting to do, and how much money you have to spend. Everything has its potential. I'm not one to have alot of money so if you're like me, go with the gsr. it'll be better in the long run.
