For that much money, you could've gotten your block resleeved with ductile iron sleeves, and bored to 2.0 liter. Would've been more "stealth" that way.

well i could have done that .........but my ls motor is gone i spun the #3 rod bearing(completly gone) that caused the piston to hit the head (destroyed the head) the crank was salvagable that was about it. i would had to buy an ls motor which is 700-900$ which probably came out of a car with 60k-100k miles

that is why i bought the b20 146hp 133ft lbs tq which has thicker cylinder walls and low enough compression to run 7-10 psi of boost (reliable boost w/ proper tuning)
plus it is something that not that many people have done i like to be different

maybee my dyno sheets will make u realize why i didnt stay 1.8l

jdm b20 with 18k miles for 975 shipped to ohio tell me who would pass up that deal if that is what they wanted

about the teg mount brackets: the driver side and rear tranny mount brackets on the actual longblock need to be swapped out in favor of DA (90-93) teg brackets if you're doing a b18B/b18C (pretty sure on the gsr) or b20B/b20Z swap into a crx. this is if you are using hcp/hasport mounts. im not 100% sure about the rear tranny bracket..but im 99%. i just havent done the swap yet to verify the other 1%. i've seen actual pics i think superhatch posted on here showing the differences in the b18b and b18a driver side mount brackets so im 100% sure for that. for whatever odd reasons this is a fact that isn't really mentioned in the various resources we have..and ppl dont talk about it much. but there you go.

Resleeving and boring alone costs about $900. But this doesnot take into account the cost of the pistons, which typically go for another $500 for a good set.

i actually got a jdm b20b longblock from steve at hondamotorsonline.com also. customer service is GREAT! i actually went down to his place and picked up the motor. There were like 12 b20's jus sitting there on the floor! he let me pick the one i wanted as well. i only paid $800 though since i picked mines up. had the motor for about a month now and been swapping wiring harness, distrubutor, intake manifold, cams, tranny, clutch, and everythin else i could salvage off my blown b18b motor. the motor is gonna get dropped in this friday so we'll jus see wat happens. wish me luck!
