Another Brake Pad Thread...
So, I searched and read a bunch of the threads that asked, "what brake pad should I get?" And, well, most of them sucked? Everyone seems to like the Hawk HP+ and Hawk HPS...
What I would like to know from a number of people...
How is the dust with those things? Some say it is more than OE and someone even said it was a little corrosive. Corrosive is not an option. I run with Enkei RS6's in the summer and just steelies in the winter. I DO NOT want to eat my enkeis.
Any and all input is welcomed. This is going on my DD, some drag, and some track.
Edit: Where did you guys buy 'em from? Buybrakes.com wants $101 for HPS all around.

I don't really have any more brake dust issues than normal? I don't know what pads were on my car when I bought it, but I switched to HPS' and the dust is actually less. I'm very happy w/ them.
Carbotech gets my vote, but with a "but". I had carbotech panther+ pads on the front of my crx for a while, and absolutely loved them. They lasted 20k miles of the hardest abuse on and off the track, I think I put 8-10 track days on them. I put a better motor in my crx, and managed to find the limitation of the pads on the stock size brakes, getting them to fade pretty bad at VIR. I switched to 11" ITR brakes with stock pads, and this past weekend at VIR they did perfect, not a hint of fading. The whole upgrade cost about as much as a new set of pads, and works way better. Just something to think about, as the stock size rotor eventually just can't take the heat, and you gotta get it out of the kitchen.
