So I'm still learning with all this stuff but I'm getting better. I just have a question about my engine. I'm trying to save for a new engine but I know this is going to take a while. So should i fix the one i have now but it already has 218k on it. Is that too late to fix up, its on a 1992 honda accord lx. I know it's an old engine I just didn't know if it was to old to fix up. Any help would be great, thanks

Depends on what's wrong with it. Does it just need filters, plugs, etc.? Or is it blowing oil all over and barely running?
Try to be a little more specific.

Well it depends on what you want. Are you wanting to get a similar F22 engine (similar to what you have now) or are you wanting to swap something different, say an H22 for more performance.
If you might as well keep your engine as it is, with only needed maintenance, and when that dies, you may have enough money to decide either. If you have no money now, don't worry replacing soon.

The engine's not to bad I just put a short ram on it. The only real problem it has is It burns oil but not too bad. So i think it's still pretty decent.

yeah I want to get a h22, but i know that'll probably cost a lil more than just fixing what i have at the moment. I was hoping to put an h22 in my civic hatchback. But that one needs more than just engine work.
