Am I the only one with 06 problems?
I bought my 06 Civic Coupe LX last November and have had nothing but problems since.
#1 The ODS sensor failed - happened before recall notice.
#2 Torque converter vibrates between 29 and 39 mph @ 1500 rpm. I have since been informed that there is currently no fix for this. in other words, I gotta live with it!
#3 Oil leak. Car is currently in the shop to repair this one. They have to drop the transmission to replace a plug!
This is my second Civic and while I love what they did with the car I have pretty much reached the end of my patience. Enough is enough and I won't be buying another.
has anyone else had problems?

damn! thats quite the issue list there buddy
i've had my 06 EX since november as well.. while I ended up with manual, I won't have any issues with a torque converter...
but i've had absolutely NO problems, just the usual keep the tire pressure up on the front tires
sorry to hear of all your problems.. maybe they should take it back from u and give u an upgrade to the EX *shrugs*

all of these problems are being addressed by honda.
I worked on an 06 w/ the oil leak. There are six oil plugs( not oil drain) on these r18's, 2 front, 2 back, and one on each side of the motor. Some of them did not come w/sealant (thread lock) on them, and depended entirely on the crush washer. The new plug will fix it.
I also worked on another one w/ a bad opds before the recall came out. Replaced the opds unit and still had a SRS dtc. They will take out the SRS control unit. You might want to mention this when talking to the service advisor. But dont mention that you read it on the internet, they hate that. jus tell them that you talked to certified honda technician.
As far as the torque convertor going bad, I havent seen this problem "yet"
also on the lemmon thing, I know certain states have certain laws, but Honda still needs a chance to repair your problems, so give em a chance. I've seen people try to go this route and they(Honda) are not going to let this happen. If the dealer cannot fix Honda will send out a field engineer to fix it.
anywho good luck

yup, I do, wherehouse sounds kinda cool. I like seeing new Honda parts, like everyone else I guess.
hmm I was contemplating mentioning that alot of 06's mostly coupes have had dash problems, where the upper part of the right and left sides of the dash come together they dont line up so good. But you didnt hear that from me.

This is the sort of feedback that I was looking for - thank you very much.
Frankly, customer service left a lot to be desired - wouldn't return phone calls. My local dealer is doing his best but he is learning of these problems for the first time also.
I agree that the lemon route is extreme but my concern is - what else???
The torque converter issue requires a sofware update (electronic transmission) but they have'nt come up with it yet. I was told that it might be 3 weeks, 3 months, a year.......
Anyway, thanks for the response.
