91 accord fuel injected engine upgrade
are there any crate engines out there for the 91? if not, how hard would it be to stick a newer model crate motor into it? Or, are there any mods I can do to it to increase torque and horsepower?
Take a look at the thread labelled "guide to basic Accords", it's stickied at the top of the page.
Then run a search, located in red letters at the top right of the website, for "motor swaps", "engine swaps", "swaps", ect. in both the archived threads and recent threads of the Accord forum. This will give an idea of what other motors can be swapped into your car.
Also try running a search for "turbo". You'll see what people have done to both their stock motor or their swapped motor. Just for another idea of whats availible for adding power.

Do you have the original motor or has it been previously swapped? To my knowledge Honda didn't stick in a DOHC engine in their cars. I have an EX and it's a SOHC engine. As far as I know the 4-door SE didn't either, and all the other models are lower (i.e. wouldn't have it).

if you have a DOHC, then it's been swapped. I assume you didn't swap it, so did the previous owner say what motor was in the car?
When looking at you motor from the front of the car... look down the front of the block about half way, where the block and tranny meet, you should see a flat square area angled toward you In that area, the motor code should be stamped along with, I believe, the serial number. Find that and let us know what motor you have.
