ok i installed a set of bmw hids in my ej8..driver side is working fine..but the passenger side started making come crackling sounds when i joined the wires..i checked the fuse under the hood and it isnt blown..anyone else no wut it is??

 

check wiring - then try swap just the ignitors, then try swaping just the ballasts, then try swaping the bulbs

 

someone told me it might jus be my stock harness plug..do u think if i cut off the plug and splice the wires it will work???

its not the ballast or plugs or anything to do with the hid's..because when i plug my original harness into my stock headlight bulb there is no power

well you should have said that....obviously its you stock harness

did your lights worked before you installed HIDs?

I have a spare engine bay harness (lights a/c etc...) for 96-00 civic - let me know if you want to buy it...cheap

EDIT you can try splicing the wires but I doubt the problem is in your plug for that headlight

so i used the voltage meter on ground wire and the low beam wire and it did not light up meaning no power at all..my driver side light is working PERFECTLY and its just the passenger side light that i'm having problems with..
Anyone else know wut to do??
