Just a question for you guys who made your own black wheels. Do you use anything on your wheels to keep them dark? I painted some Special Edition rims but Im starting to wonder if they will turn white or faded looking in time? Wax probabaly would just take off the paint, how about armor all on the wheels?? I know it sounds cheesy but what else will keep them a dark black?

i have a set of 91 si rims painted black and if there clean they are pretty nice color get em powder coated

 

Heh , it would be cool to have black Nascar stylee rims that'd look like steelies turned around

 

if you want to keep them dark, use a semi flat or semi gloss paint. and just keep them clean. dont go gloss, it looks wack and theres more of chance of drips. you can always just respray too
