pumping gas from the tack on E. I usually pump anywhere from 9.4 - 10 gallons of premium mobil.. I rarely rarely get 10 gallons into my tank. Its weird and very inconsistant.. listen to this.. I remember pumping around 9 gallons when my gas light indicator came on. Just a few days ago my gas was on E but light hasnt showed up and was able to pump 10 gallons. Isnt the max capacity like 12.3gallons on a gsr? well id like to hear what other gsr owners pump.... also how many miles to a tank do you guys achieve? Im getting a little over 300.
[rant on] what the **** is wrong with the cost of gas right now? $1.70 is the going price on premium gas! just a couple months back I was pumping premium at $1.08

I don't know about you, but 10 gallon is the max for me from touching the end, (*no light yet*).
$1.70 for Premium??? ****, here in Northern CA. I just paid $1.91 for Premium. It was just a $1.49 like a 1.5 months ago.

oh shoot.. i forgot to mention..
sometimes when im pumping the gas (on auto) it would click off... making me think I got a full tank of gas but once I get into the car I realize that my tack is 1/4 away from the F
this happens quite often..
question: is this a problem with my car? or the pump at the gas station?

I always thought integras hold like 13 gallons. Maybe its 12.3 Well anyways your E light should turn on between 1.5-2 gallons left. That way you dont run out of gas while driving. Those acura people always thinking ahead.
my car does the same thing, its an LS, but I don't think that makes a difference. I've had several times where its clicked off almost right away or only after like a gallon or so. I think the pumps do that when they sense a certain amount of pressure indicating that the tank is almost full (that's a guess but it makes sense) not sure why my tank would be "telling" the tank to shut off though. any ideas?
I usually pump around ~10.5 gallons or so when the lights on. Then around 260 miles on a tank. how do you get 300
hehe maybe its cuz i usually shift around 4-5k and trips to redline are pretty frequent. But yeah ive always wondered the same thing, it says in the owners manual it has a capacity of 13.2 but i never get close to that.

In my 98 GSR I can get anywhere from 275 to 325 miles to a tank. I get the worst mileage redlining it alot and driving at 70-80mph on the highway. And I get the best mileage shifting at 3100-3500rpm and not going over 60mph on the highway. I run my tires with 35psi and have the K&N RU-3130 filter and RS*R exhaust. I ususally end up only putting in 9.5-9.9 gallons every fill up.

my 98 gs-r supposedly came with a 13 gallon tank. i have actually had it stall on me right as i pulled into chevron. the car took 12 gallons. The reason for this? Gasoline vapor. People don't realize that there's still vapor in the gas tank. It creates pressure (that's why you hear the *PSSHH* sound when you take off the gas cap), and this pressure should be added into the equation. That's why you don't fill up 13 gallons, but the tank probably does hold about 13 gallons. I usually fill up around 9-11 gallons.
Driving around in the city lands me about 250-280 miles. if i'm driving a long trip (SF-LA/LA-SF) and stay around 75 mph, i can hit 400 miles a tank. i easily will get 320+ if i never hit VTEC and just cruise @ 75-80 mph. It all depends on how heavy footed you are on the pedal. See if you can't get better mileage by driving like a granny all week. You'll see the difference.
Hope that helped.

I got an integra gsr and i tink i can hold more then 10 gallons, but to make sure ill check the next time, and also, daaaaaaaym, I thought we had it bad, gas here is 1.49 for premium and I'm complaining. I should be grateful for this price.
I get up 300 regularly
and
when i did that granny driving for a whole gas tank, i got up to 375 before gasing up again....

My GSR usually takes about 8.5-9 gallons, but I usually fill up at a quarter tank. Gas here in AZ is only like 1.37 for premium
Our OEM Integra gas tank has a capacity of 13.2 gallons. The gas light was designed to light when you have 2 gallons left. Hope this clears some stuff up..
anyways, I usually get around 290 before the light goes on... but even when my light goes on and I fill up the tank, it usually fills up 10.4 gallons
