Salvage quote/parts car
Sadly, I was in a wreck on Monday and my '92 Prelude was totaled.
Does anyone have an idea of what I can expect to get from a salvage yard for her? Or if I sold her as a parts car, what price I should list?
She was originally an Si with an H22 swap (72K on the engine) three of her tires/rims are fine (less than a year old Enkei's with new tires) and everything doors and back are unscratched/undented.
I've never had a car totaled before and have no idea what to expect/ask.
Thanks so much.

Parting out a car is VERY time consuming. You will get A LOT of people who ask you tons of questions and don't buy anything from you.
I have parted out most of my Prelude (sold parts I replaced with newer parts) over the past 4 years. Let me tell you this, I had more people waste my time asking me questions than actually bought from me. The other thing I noticed was the people who seemed the least interested in a part was the one who ended up buying it.
Anyway, if you want to go through the hassle, parting it out can be profitable. However, pulling off the parts yourself, having a wrecked car sitting in your yard, etc might make it not worth it.
Just my take.
Good luck!

Probably because alot of people selling parts, are very overpriced and slow with the shipping. So alot of people are nervous and more than likely if they don't buy from you they think you are screwing them on the price or not trustworthy enough to buy from.
you will get more for your time and effort if you part it out rather than just sell it to a yard or even a single person.
