Hey I bought a P28 ECU online and it is for a Manual 5 spd I see that some chipping services for conversion from Auto to Manual... Does anyone know if the opposite can be done?... I need it for a Manual--> Automatic ...

Why would you want to go from manual to automatic? What kind of motor are you going to use the ecu on?

I have an automatic car for the time being, thats why.. its y7 block with a y8 head

i garentee you will find somebody willing to trade you straight up as the manual ecu is more desirable.

 

manual ecus lack all the transistors and what not required for the auto tranny so its not as easy as putting those two resistors on the board. feasable yes but practical ..no.
