Default EXPERT ON COILOVER SUSPENSION FOR DC2 94

Hi guys! I was wondering if you guys know how the D2 suspension fits on a 94 integra Vtir (GSR in USA, Vtir in AUS).

Do i need to change the rear fork? I know that Tein ones fit but have to change rear fork.

In the D2 website the suspension kit says it will fit 92 to 00 model integra.

http://www.d2racingsports.com.au/d2suspension.html

I found this hard to believe though.

Do you know if the front suspension is a Fork type too?

Even the D2 guys didnt know which one it was, and didn't know if i needed to change the fork. They said it was fine without changing the fork.

Please help me out!

Thanks

Darrell

You do not need to change the rear fork. On the stock dampers, the lower mount is a fixed part of the entire damper. Aftermarket coilovers will have to supply their own lower mounts for the rear, and I do not know of one company that doesn't.
92-00 is not a valid range for the DC2; the DC2 only exists in 94-01. 92-95 are the EG generation Civics, while 96-00 are the EK generation of Civics. The 94-01 Integras and 92-95 Civics share nearly identical suspension components, while the 96-00 EK Civics utilize slightly longer rear LCA's, with a narrower shock bushing. If you were to use a DC2 damper on the EK LCA, you'd need to add washers to fill in the gap; likewise, if you used EK dampers on a DC2 arm, you would need to file down the bushing on the LCA to make the fork fit.
The front suspension does has a "fork" portion, but it is detachable from the damper itself. I do not know of any aftermarket companies that provide a replacement for the stock lower fork, so the stock one is usually re-used.
So basically, there is no "changing" of forks necessary for front or rear.
