Default 88 Civic HB DX same as 88 CRX DX?

I needed to know if the engine harness are the same or if the main harness was the same. Anybody know? I have a 88 Civic HB DX that is having starting problems and I think it may be the main harness. i have a spare 88 Crx DX complete harness (throughout the entire car).

will it work?

Thanks again,
Shane

I strongly suggest you don't swap harnesses. Little issues happen when you do that. They are basically the same harness.

As for not starting I say it's a bad ground or bad starter.

I'm fairly certain they are the same harness. Check the ECUS to see if they are both the same. That should be a dead give away.

I don't have this option

All grounds have been checked and are good. I really wouldn't mind minor issues as long as the car is running and I can drive it

Anybody that is certain?

They are the same. Same engines (D15B2) same year (88 to 88) and they are the same options right? No AC no PS? If you have extra accessaries you might have extra plugs, same thing for an auto to manual, you will have like 3-4 extra plugs.

But to be honest, instead of swapping harnesses you should figure out why it wont start! I say you have a dead starter, swap the starter first!

I have fixed the starting problem. It cranks fine. It gets gas. timing is on. That only leaves me with spark. I'm changin dizzy today and if that don't work I believe it may be the harness cuz it kinda looks like it may have been tampered with (just slightly)

like the car will start then. die off.

Check to see if the dizzy is getting power. I had the same problem and it was bad wiring for my SOHC ZC swap.
