I just realized, ive been riding around on my stock sohc fuel pump, would it be smart getting a new fuel pump ? ? ?
Any major hold backs performance-wise because of this ? ?
A friend gave me this impression ^^^

youll be fine im using my oem fuel pump for a JRSC B18c w/ 450cc inj in a hf for over a year
all d and b series engines use the same size injectors so it doesnt matter.

First of all think about it time=wear stress=wear wear=low performance. . . . . Factor in how old your car is. . . . .and then think about how much more a b-series head flows, more air=more fuel needed. the pump is working harder than it was originally meant to. Its gonna run fine until you rev excesivelly, or upgrade I.e. Bigger cams, turbo, or better flow. When the motor starts asking for more fuel than nessesary, the signs of wear will start to show
. . . . . . .and plus thers no downside to leaning how to swap a fuel pump

they started making ek's in 96 and you have a pre 92 car cuz your in this forum, your car is around 5 to 8 years older more wear. And I also told you all that because your problably tryin to get the best performance, what's the point of tryin to make your car fast if you gotta worry more about somethin breakin or to be confused about the upgrade you bought isn't showing thenumbers you expected
