My lights aren't blue its the shitty camera, and the pics don't do it justice at all. and yes of course they have to be from the factory to be considered legal, but i have s2000 projectors in there with phillips 4100k bulbs, which is like what u find in a bmw, lexus, benz and so on... and for that matter a honda s2000

ummm...the s2ks are DOT legal. thats why they are a factory in those cars and the reason why it looks so blue is because of the pictures. when i had mine, in person they were bright white (4300k) but when i took pics they looked really blue

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by g0t vtec- &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> hate to BURST YOUR BUBBLE..but he said 4100k HIDS and thats not close to blue..thats like OEM HID's...can you tell the difference between blue and white?

true that its 4100k and it has less blue. but also you are forgetting that the s2ks cutoffs and beams are sharp causing it to have a lot of blue when it meets that cutoff.

but non the less, these are more OEM than those ugly HID kits.

i never had a problem when i had mine. cops just thought they were factory.

for customlightz. and to the OP, you have to take better pics than that to really show how badass cutomlightz really are with their retrofits. these pics dont do the retrofit or the s2ks justice

i miss my s2ks

huh just looked at the pictures again. you should have had them paint the bezels/shrouds. looks like the beam is bouncing around on the chrome part causing ALOT of glare.

thanks guyz for all your responses..

I did have them put custom shrouds, but i think casue i wanted to keep the headlight as oem looking as possible, the chrome dosen't help it much...

as far as what they charge they have a special for 200 bucks, which includes labor/color mod.. u have to provide the headlights, and projectors (whatever u choose) and have an oem hid kit

Thanks 1turbodc2 for putting us out there. Thank you very much and I appreciate that a lot.

Thanks juicyfn for coming in and clearing a few things up here. Also note everyone that to my knowledge he is the first teggy with a S2000 setup, but I could be wrong. In either case one of the first and beautiful setup.

Briefly, there are a lot of common misconceptions regarding OEM HID retrofitting, one of which that they emmit blue light. Usually those are the guys who are used or has only seen HID kits in action, From the pics, I can see how someone who doesn't know about OEM HID retrofitting may say that they look blue. But look at the road in front of the car, it's not light up with blue colors. Note that 4300K is always daytime/white color. And/or look at the wall shot, though you see some blue around the cutoff it's white below it.
This blue color is only emmitted at cutoff only! You will see this with Audi, BMW, Acura etc. Though, with the modded S2000 it's more so, but nevertheless; it's there with all oem hid projectors.

Yes, I put up a disclaimer on the webpage saying it's for show purpuse and off road only, but that's to cover my own end to tell you the truth. "HID KITS" are illegal, and to my knowledge the sale of hid kits are illegal too. At least it used to be, and I am very sure it's the same way now.

OEM HID Retrofitting on the other hand is street legal in many states if not all, but I don't have this confirmed yet, thus; I will protect myself and site that retroffitting is off road only. You have to remember that we are using OEM components from a BMW, Audi, Acura, Honda, etc.

Having that said I really jumped in to say that we are in Richmond, VA and not Vermont. Starts with a V though

Awesome post -Bionic-!!! Explains a lot to people who are not familiar with retofits. I think mine and your post together can clear thigns up

Unfortunately, I was the SECOND person to ever retrofit S2Ks into Integra headlights. HAKNSLASH from HIDPlanet.com was the first to ever successfuly do them. Then I soon followed with my retrofit a few months after.

Im glad that you have put that disclaimer on your front page. Becasue people need to realize that becasue you are doing the retrofits, does not mean you are responsible for any or all tickets they recieve for having them. The owner of the car distinctly had you (Customlightz) do them.

Keep up the good work guys over at CustomLightz.com!

I fu*king hate people like that that come straight into a thread and hijack the fu*k out of it with their a$$hole non-sense. People like you need to just die.

That is definitely not the first Integra w/ S2000 projectors. The first one done that I know of was nearly 2 years ago (haknslash on this site and HIDplanet, who has since sold his Integra and has a Neon SRT-4 now), and there have been several others done both here and on HIDplanet.com.

Looks nice (although I don't like the OEM chrome bezels)... wish I had S2000 projectors instead of my Hella bi-xenon projectors. Although, I don't think I could justify dropping $200 on labor for that kinda stuff. I'm just a DIY kinda guy.
