Went to the track, new time, Thanks to suspension ...
Well, yesterday I learned quite a few things. One was the fact that suspension has ALOT more to do with drag racing than I thought. I had recently put Buddy Club coilovers in my car. I used to have Skunk sleeves. I ran last week and couldn't get better than a 2.2 60FT. Most were, 2.3 which I think is not so great.
Anyhow, yesterday I did some changes. I jacked up the rear, lowered the front and softened the front. The difference? 2.0 after 2.0 after 2.0 60Ft's. This is with street tires (drag radials). It just felt soooo much better coming out of the hole, minimal spin, and bit hard. When I hit second gear it felt like my spleen shot through the back of seat.
Next time, I am gonna try and stiffen up the rear a little more and see how that goes.
I ended up with a new best yesterday of...
2.0 60FT and 13.3@103
I'm happy with that for now. I'm sure I could do a little better.
Especially when my 13" Volk TE37's get here and I throw on some slicks
