Default Auto to manual swap, what tranny?

I have an 88 DX auto that I want to put a manual in. I've read about the pedal assembly and shifter and all that stuff, but I'm confused as hell as to what tranny to use. I get that I need an 88 if I put it on my stock motor, because of the splines on the input shaft... but if I put a DOHC ZC, what tranny would I need then? I wanna tackle everthing at once, so I'll do the motor and the tranny at the same time.

The engine doesnt make a difference. Its whatever flywheel/clutch you bolt onto the motor. The clutch is what has to match the tranny.
