Default UCA install question.

In the Honda 96-00 Civic service manual it say's that the vehicle should be on the ground before tightening any bolts or nuts connected to rubber mounts or bushings. Am I going to have to do this to install my omni control arms? Or can I tighten everything with the car raised?

Default Re: UCA install question. ('00Civic)

you can do it with the car in the air, but you are going to cause the bushings to bind and possibly tear. the reason is because when the car is in the air, the suspension will be at full droop.

when the car is on jackstands, the control arms will look like \, but when the car is on the ground, they will look like __
