be more specific, there is the VTEC that is in the GSR, the Type-R the civic with a single cam, the Civic Si, the RSX, the accord, the MDX the TSX, the RL the TL... come on man, VTEC is a feature of an engine..... thats like saying, hey i have this engine with 4 pistons, is that going to fit in my car?

Come on now. You are giving az a bad name. I hate to brake it to you but you sound like a moron. Try the search engine and you can find out. Call your friend and find out what the block says. Go to the search and type it in. Have fun.
You are probably better off not touching the engine because it soundas like you have no clue and you said it needs to be rebuilt. That will cost some money, especially if you pay someone to do it.

Were all in this together, so we can try to help, but search.

JDM 89-92 Integra XSi and RSi had the B16A. There were two variants of the XSi B16A: One pre OBD with 160hp and one OBD1 with 170hp.

Correct!

However his engine is still not a B series. Guessing a 2.2L vtec out of an accord.
-Rik

P.S. get NOS. Simple, easy, and you'll go fast.

Is it an F22?

If it is, it had better be the F-22A Raptor variety (USAF Fighter Jet), because the Honda F22b1 won't do much to make your car faster.
