b16a1 powered CRX si
ok.. the search button must not be working but here i go..
I've been doing a lot of research on b16a1 swaps in CRX's. I am possibly considering buying a 1991 CRX Si and then swapping a b16a1 in it...
I want to buy the complete first generation swap from hondamotorsonline.com, and i plan on buying the hasport mounting kit..
besides those 2, what do i need for the swap? mounts axles? do the axles come with the complete swap from hondamotorsonline?

Your gonna need some mounts of coarse, HASport recommended!
And also an ECU whitch should come w/ the motor and tranny( try to get a J1 if going all motor, I think you will like it.) HASport also sells the Si to SiR VTEC harness which makes the wiring easy. And you can get your shifter linkage and stableizer bar from HASport, also recommended. You will need 92,93 Itg rear mounting bracket and shorter altenator belt the part number is on the HASport site. Then you need 90,93 LS,GS Upper radiator hose, Half-shaft and CV axles will work 9 out of 10 times. Any B-series header will work but you will more than likley are gonna have to have your exhaust shorted or lengthend.

Try to stay away from adjustable shift linkage.... and make sure the swap your buying atleas comeswith engine tranny and ecu. I got mine with sir axels... I you got an SIyou dont have to buy the wiring hrness. just add 4 wires. BIG HAMMER to clear up space fo your alternator by the driverside wall.
sup guys........i got to ride in an early 90s model CRX si manual trannny with a B16A1 swap and Drag 3 turbo kit at 5psi. rode around the block with this guy.......we were in 1st then he revved up the engine and threw it into second and we roasted the tires. good luck with your project , i would b proud to have that CRX..........anyways i have just put $1000 down on a B16A2 w/ gsr tranny 27k miles, CM clutch stage 1, NX kit, DC sports header, and other ignition and fuel upgrades.......APril 27th i will pay the other$4700 to get the installation done.......then hello 13s.............it is going in my 2k civic ex 5spd.......once again DO THE SWAP!! lol

HondamotorsOnline quoted me this.
B16a1, y1 tranny WITH LSD, pr3 ecu, SiR axles, mounts, and shift linkage, SiR front brakes, HASPORT engine mounts, and others.. for 2150$ then shipping is cheaper if you have it shipped to a commercial address. for me, shipping is 250..
so for all that with for 2400$ shipped.. it's not bad.
