Default OT-need advice on wax for this yellow car-ZYMOL

hey guys-tried posting in appearance section, but not much goings on there, plus the search feature is down, so...hope someone has tried this on their r too. a friend gave me a bottle of this blue stuff and swears by it. i just wanted to know if anyone else has used it before i squirt it all over yellowfever #510. i'd hate to spend half the day polishing and find out its crap. any advice appreciated-or maybe something better to use??

Zymol is good stuff.

For best results - clean the car first with an automotive soap, followed by a rub down with a clay bar - or use a pre-wax polish like Meguiar's. Then just follow the directions. I would suggest using a random-orbital buffer for the final polish.

i hear it's good., I still have some of that stuff. I hear it doesn't last as long but I am not sure about that cause I never timed how long it lasts (smells good though )

If you haven't clayed your car, that might be something you want to do as well. I would think waxing is really important more in hawaii since you are around all that salt (unless you are inland I guesh )

-Aoib0t, who uses Zaino.

if it's the zymol they sell from k-mart, wal-mart, that stuff is just a very expensive turtle wax. look on the side of the bottle and see who makes it. "real" zymol comes from germany, I think and is very expensive. the kmart variety is okay, but not great. IM and I'll get into the specifics to get your car's paint perfect.

aloha

some Blitz One Grand Caranuba Wax and some Klasse Sealant Glaze would do you well.

I agree, if the Zymol was bought from K-Mart, Wal-Mart, etc... it's not the real deal... ZYMOL Germany allows Turtle Wax to use their brand name.... however, the wax is actually made by Turtle Wax Corporation. Real Zymol, must be purchased from an authorized distributor.... the wax is shipped in a round plastic airtight container... it still smells the same... The link below is a "Wax Test"
