this might sound like a noob question or wateva but i put in new bulbs in my corner lights in my car, amber bulbs ....and i was wondering wat the second bulbs if for, i know the one is a running light and wat not but wat does this second one do, ive turned on my turn signals and everything but it never came on....wat is it for i have it circled in red

 

i think its the running light, one is a running light, and one is a blinking light for the turn signal.

it blinks simutaniously with the bumper turn signal

 

Yeah, I see you have an 88-89. I dunno, but the same thing happens to me -- it doesn't blink or anything. I checked the wires, and they're definitely the same color as the "blinking" lights in most Honda's. Dunno, must either be something with the 88-89's, or something's wrong. lol (I've seen 90-91's with them blinking, but never an 88-89)

 

My '89 works just fine... If you break the corner light down the amber section is your turn signal and the clearer section is your running light. The running light isn't suppose to blink thats why they call it a running light. what you have circled is your turn signal, if thats not blinking then something is wrong.

 

Yeah, something's definitely wrong then. The blinking light doesn't blink haha.

 

clear is running light. amber is side marker light. w/ running / headlights off it blinks with the turn signal. with running/ headlight on, it's on all the time and the turn signal turns it off. so it blinks opposite of the turn signal.

 

on my 89 what you have circled is the turn signal

what if you put the hazards on? will they blink?

thanx guys i got it all figured out and workin, a wire on each one of the turn signals was cut so i fixed that and whoeva else needs to fix this watch ur bulbs, wiggle them around a lil bit to see if they work cuz somtimes they dont sit right

Well, which one is the real JDM corner lights for a 91 CRX SIR? Is it the clear stanley ones or the amber looking ones? I search and found both options, so, I want to have a few more opions from HT'ers. Thanks first guys.
