i want to remove the backseats from my 1990 hatch. my freind has a eg and his pop out with little work, he came to help me take mine out but they arent the same. how do i remove the seats? do i have the take off the interior paneling? and another question do eg front seats directly replace my seats? thanks.

 

Pop off the little plastic peices on the rails at each end of the seats. Fold them down and you can see it. Pop them off and then just slide the seats out.

Takes me less then 1 minute.

 

dont forget about the little 10mm bolt that holds down the bottom part of the seat

 

yup, thats it..2 little black plastic clips located on the outer lower portion of each seat..then push the seat towards the outside of the car and pull up from the middle. EG seats aren't a direct bolt in though..
