Default OBD-0 to OBD-1 Conversion

Can anyone who's done this conversion please provide some insight?

Can the wiring be installed clean (no cuts)?

Any info will be appreciated.

Well Yes it can be done without cutting and splicing. Well the only part I dont know about is how you would connect the 5 wires going to the injector resistor without cutting and soldering.

If you can get an ecu repin tool, you can do it without cutting any wires.
You have to repin the ecu wires, or buy/make a plug in style converter harness. (Thats what I did)
You have to repin the dist wires
You have to repin the fuel injector wires
You have to repin a few sensor wires

I am writing a how to convert obd0-obd1 for sohc vtec swaps into 88-91 civics/crxs.

I should be done with it tomorrow. There are a few how to swap d16y8's into crx's posts. check em out.

Especially this one: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=149779

What motor are you trying to install????

cbrman: How do you deal with the Crankshaft Fluctuation Sensor? (CKF) It looks like it is not present on OBD0 equipped cars. Can you just install one on the block without doing anything special?

The crankshaft speed fluctuation sensor is only present on OBDII motors. Not OBDI motors. If you are running an OBDII motor with a non-OBDII ECU, just forget about using this sensor. As for running a 1988-1991 car with 1992-1995 electronics, it is not really too hard. I have done this conversion on two cars. Some time ago, I posted conversion charts on the hybrid forum or resource.crx.org. I am not sure if you can still find them. But you might give it a try.

Actually storminmatt your posts on the resource is where my info came from. I copied your posts and entered them onto a webpage that i started to build. I have it complete, just have to load it online. I have been sick this past week, will try to get it up soon. as for the sensor, It is still there, just not connected.... I didnt know what the hell it was, so i made it accessable incase I needed to wire it up.
