94 accord lx, no left highbeam
hey guys
i have a 1994 honda accord lx coupe. my daytime running lights dont work and neither does my drivers side high beam. also, the DRL light is lit up on the dash when my lights are not turned on.
i checked the (day light) fuse under the dash, and both headlight fuses under the hood, and everythign seems good, same with the headlight bulbs themselves. i also changed my drl relay underneath the dash(bought a new one from honda) and still nothing... any ideas? thanks
edit: just checked it with the voltmeter.. as soon as i turn my headlights on, the drivers side high beam gets power, but no ground, then when i flick the high beams on, its still getting 12V to it... but there is still no ground.. so its come down to there must be some type of relay or something that controls the ground to the high beam other than the drl relay..

where is this high beam fuse located? under the hood all i found was left headlight and right headlight fuse.. i did not see a fuse just for the highbeams, although the sticker on the lid of the fuse box is also in french so that doesnt help any.
ok so i have the same car(94 accord lx coupe) and i have the exact same problem....as in the have the DRL light on and no left high beam... Iv been trying to figure this out aswell and no conclusion as of yet.
Can you guys help us out?

there must be a relay for the headlights or something though.. ive already tried the drl relay.. im gonna test the drl harness tomorrow to see if that tells me anything

which fuse is for the highbeam tho? i found the left and right headlight fuses, and they're fine.. but i dont see a fuse for just the highbeams... is the dimmer relay or headlight relay maybe one of the causes?

checked all the fuses, they're definately all good.

Try running a temporary jumper wire from the org/white wire on your right side Hi beam.to the left side.Their has to be a short in the line going to your left side hi beam.
And check your dimmer relay the left side HI beam gets its ground from it and recheck fuse #19 it's a 20a fuse.
Their is probably a short in the ground between the right hi beam ground and the left side hi beam,The ground source starts at the dimmer switch and goes to the right side Hi beam first then it goes to the left side Hi beam.
I think if fuse 19 was blown you wouldn't have any positive to the lights. So it's probably not blown like you said.
