Question on wheel offset for Rota Slipstreams on GS-R w/ Type R suspension?
I have a 2001 GS-R and I put on the suspension from a Type R, the spring and shock or Coilover so have you, and it gave me a 3/4 inch drop from my stock GS-R suspension. I would like to get Rota Slipstreams, but I am not exactly sure which offset to get, I believe they offer it in 40mm and 45mm. Does anyone know the proper offset so I don't rub my wheels or anything with my suspension setup? Thanks for your help.
When in doubt go w/ 40mm offset. It'll give you a wider "track"... a good thing if you like autoX, tracking, etc. I'm pretty sure that 16x7" w/ 45mm offset will clear everything as well... most typeR aftermarket rims run 16x7" w/ 45mm offset (SW388, etc.)
you wont rub. . . i have em on my r and they are fine . i think the offset is 45?
and i have the 15's
and i have the 15's
So both the 45 and 40mm offsets will work for the 16x7's? It sounds like a matter of personal preference.
