I've got a 97 Prelude SH. Im looking for an exhaust system that doesn't sound like a bumble bee, fart can, civic, buzzy, etc.

I've looked at all of these but can't find any sound clips or don't really know anything about them. I found a clip of the Fujisubo Legalis R exhaust and it sounded amazing, but they are really expensive and take forever to get here. What would sound similar?

Also, I'm running a DC Sports Header, AEM V2 Intake, and Test Pipe.

 

dont get a greddy unless you want warranty issues. i have the greddy evo 2 on my 5th gen (but lowered) and ive had problems (most recent was resonator pipe issues). but the greddy does sound good tho

I have the Greddy Evo - isn't this like the 10th time i've said it this week?.....
It sounds damn good with great performance. I've never had any problem with my exhaust - ever. I've had it for over a year now.

If i can find a place to host my video, you could hear the exhaust. But, no one accepts 42mb..........

Edit: Actually, I didn't know streetfire.net allowed 150mb. So, i'll upload it and post it. I'll try to get the sound outside the car as soon as i get home from work.

Sounds amazing.

No problems.

 

rs-r = all time best IMO. nice and quiet during daily driving, but sounds nasty when u get on it. go to my cardomain for video and pics of it.

there are also some sounds of the greddy evo as well. jus look around my site for them.

None of the above, get the Mugen, sounds the best IMO. All the rest are raspy sounding, even the RSR. It's all personal preference though, search google for those exhausts with preludes and start listening for what you like.

you're just being a dick head, maybe if enough people post exhuast clips and there overall opinion it can be a lock thread on a guide for good exhuasts. instead of tellin the guy to search, tell him what you got whether you like it...the guy obvisiously dosent wanna ride down the road sounding like an idoit. So he comes here for help and you just tell him to search, half the time the search function brings up 100 topics you dont want.

anywho i have a custom piped with obx muffler little loud for alot of people i like it really deep tone, not raspy at all just loud.

also had a couple of friends with:
Skunk2- loud, almost GT ish
Apex N1- REAL DEEP
Tanabe Fireball- raspy until higher rpms (nothing another resonator wouldn't fix)

I am getting my OBX exhaust with custom 2.5" piping put on friday or saturday morning. You say that you like it a lot? Thats a good thing to hear! Do you have any clips of the sound? My friend has a civic Si with a full OBX system on there and I think it sounds good. Not like an angry weed-eater...Just deep. Let me know if you have any clips or pix! THANKS. (Sorry if I thread jacked..Just couldnt find anyone else with OBX on their prelude.)

 

i current dont have any clips and id say i could get you one but my lude is currently down crank pulley came loose and i need a new woodruff key and pulley itself. but yeah i mean i got 2.25 cat-back with the obx i mean its loud but it sounds real good, im sure you could quiet it down with an extra resonator but im running no resonator. but i mean i do love it i might only change to a hks hi-flow when im finished with my swap but it depends.

 

I know you didn't have a DC Sports exhaust listed, but I have DC on my prelude and I love the sound. I get a lot of compliments from others saying how much they love the fact that it's not whiney or raspy. Deep tone, and pretty suttle until you hit VTEC, and then she opens up. I am definitely not a fan if the tin-can sounding crap either...
